The light, the scenery, the outfits, the couple - OHHH this made for such a STUNNING engagement shoot. These two were so in love, it's so obvious in the pictures.
I found this park on my way back from my mom's house in Aloha. I sometimes take the back roads when I know I-5 is backed up or OR217. I saw the sign and decided to turn in to the park. I was so excited that I found this place and thought this would make for such awesome portraits. My ideas were spinning through my head. To learn more about Spring Valley State Park, click here.
Peter and Elita met on the gorgeous coast of Southern Mexico in the state of Oaxaca while Peter was studying Spanish in a school where Elita just happened to be a Spanish teacher. An initial spark of interest grew through their time spent together on sun-drenched beaches, in humid classrooms, and under tropical rainstorms. Upon returning to Mexico after Christmas in the States, Peter asked Elita to be his girlfriend at sunset on the same beach where they had danced together under the Mexican moonlight weeks before. A year later, as they looked out over the Pacific Ocean once again, this time through an Oregon sunset, he asked her to be his wife. The answer, in both cases, was exactly what Peter had hoped to hear. Their story to date has been far from traditional, but they wouldn't have it any other way and loved every second of the journey. They've enjoyed galloping on horseback to hidden Mexican hot springs, feared for their lives in the aftermath of Peruvian riots, and ambled aimlessly through Ecuadorian mountain villages. Now, they're excited for the next step of their adventure together!
FAVORITE THINGS THEY LIKE TO DO TOGETHER
They enjoy anything outside in nature, such as hiking, walking on the beach, or sports. They enjoy working out together, especially Crossfit. They also enjoy relaxing in front of a fire on a rainy day and not doing much of anything but enjoying each other's company.
THE WEDDING VISION
The colors will be steel blue and peach. The venue is very elegant with a beautiful stone fireplace and lots of windows overlooking the vineyard and the rolling hills off in the distance. We don't have a lot of decorations planning since the place already looks nice on its own, but we're trying to match the simple, elegant theme. There wedding will take place at the Beckenridge Vineyard.
