I had the opportunity to do a full day mini engagement sessions for potential couples I met at the Willamette Heritage Center Museum Vendor Show. If you never have been at that venue, go check it out! It’s absolutely beautiful. One of the reasons why I offer a mini engagement session is because it is important that we jive together! We will be in constant communication before, during, and after your wedding, that it is important that we like each other. Go check out my post on the top 5 reasons why it’s important to do an engagement session.
Kristyn and Ryan was able to sign up for the mini engagement session when she visited my booth at the bridal show. We talked briefly about the session and was able to meet up again for one of the time slots at Minto Brown. Minto Brown State Park offers pretty unique locations for your engagement photos. Since this particular session was only 15-20 minutes long, we needed to stay close to our meetup area. There’s a particular meadow / field that I love to shoot at in the park. I had to check to make sure that the area was not closed off due to nesting birds or other creatures that are protected in that field.
I can’t believe how quick their session was! They had me laughing and in that short time period we got some great pictures! Check out their other engagement sessions! One was another quick session for their wedding website and was a 90’s theme shoot. Their actual engagement shoot was in the snow! How They First Met:
We both met in law school at the University of Oregon School of Law. We were friends before we finally started dating. -Kristyn
What Are Things You Like To Do Together:
Kristyn and Ryan enjoy spending time together adventuring, playing on their Rec league kickball team, and playing a round of big buck hunter after a long day.
The Proposal:
The proposal took place in an ice skating rink in the middle of Central Park on December 19, 2019. It was a beautiful winter morning with the cityscape in the background. Kristyn almost chopped Ryan’s toe off getting into her skates!
Don’t forget to keep checking back for their actual wedding day blog! It’s going to be epic!
