I had the opportunity to do a full day mini engagement photo sessions for potential couples I met at the Willamette Valley Wedding Vendor Show held by the Willamette Valley Wedding Professionals. This year it was held at the Log House Garden in Keizer. If you never have been at that venue, go check it out! It’s absolutely beautiful. One of the reasons why I offer mini engagement photo sessions is that it is important that we jive together! We will be in constant communication before, during, and after your wedding, that it is important that we like each other. Go check out my post on the top 5 reasons why it’s important to do an engagement session.

Christina and Samuel are getting married at a private residence in Dallas in July. She was able to sign up for the mini engagement photo session that I was offering at the bridal show. The Minto Brown engagement photo sessions happened the second week in October and it turned out to be a perfect fall day (thank goodness!)! We didn’t walk too far in to Minto Brown Park because Christina was 5 months pregnant at that time. I loved the open field that this placed offered and made sure we didn’t do any crazy poses.

How They First Met:

They met in 2008 on swim team and “dated” for about a year then lost touch. In 2017 they started talking again after Christina walked into Sam’s restaurant. After a year of talking their first date was at Salem on Ice and dessert at Kondiderie. They’ve been inseparable since.

What Are Things You Like To Do Together:

“Eat, kayaking, walks, road trips, family time, read, relax, joke around” – Christina

The Spark:

Sam knew as soon as Christina walked into the restaurant that he wanted to be with her. He knew he was in love with her after their first date when he was just so excited to be able to hold her hand. Christina knew Sam was the one when he was the one she wanted to talk to all the time. He’s her best friend.

The Proposal:

Sam surprised Christina with a family photoshoot at the Capitol Mall under the cherry blossoms. Christina was so surprised and cried like a baby. Then after the photoshoot, the families went to Gilgamesh Brewing Company to celebrate.

Don’t forget to keep checking back for their actual wedding day blog! It’s going to be epic!
