BLANCA & TRAVON | THE TROUTDALE HOUSE WEDDING

Blanca’s and Travon’s wedding at the Troutdale House by the Sandy River in Troutdale, Oregon was graced with such beautiful April weather. I wonder if it was a record high that day because it was warm, bright and sunny. Like many couples, due to COVID, their guest list had to be reduced to minimum amount of guests. Even with the limited number of guests, the couple was totally in love and nothing would spoil their day.

Blanca and Travon envisioned their wedding as casual but fun. She wanted to capture as many magical quality moments more than quantity of the wedding itself. Family is very important to them so pictures that show the love between all of them. Special talks, getting ready, tears, and laughter. How Did You Two First Meet?

We both got accepted into a study aboard program called Carpe Mundi. He was accepted from PCC & I was accepted from Mt Hood Community College. We met at the orientation and we got put in the same group to travel to India for 3 months! – Blanca

How Did Your Fiancé Propose?

He said he wanted to take a professional photo shoot at the beach to celebrate our 5th year together. The photographer was in on it the whole time. In the middle of the shoot, the photographer told me to look out into the water while he looked at me from behind. Once she told me to turn around, he was bent on one knee with the ring box open and proposed! -Blanca

What Do You Want To Remember Most on your Wedding Day?

I want to remember the energy and positivity of the day and the people that came to celebrate our love.

What Was Your Wedding Planning Experience Like:

It made it a lot easier on me to plan as early as possible and make many lists with vendors and prices and having a budget.

Advice to Brides who are currently planning their Weddings:

Trust your instincts but be open to other’s ideas. Don’t focus so much on having things at your wedding for the sake of tradition if it’s not something you wouldn’t die without. Go with trusted vendors your venue or friends recommend- this will help you make decisions rather than searching for everything on your own.
