Bailey’s and Steven’s Green Villa Barn & Garden wedding in Independence, Oregon was simple, classic, and absolutely stunning. It was a hot, muggy August day and a bit smokey but that didn’t stop having such a beautiful wedding outdoors. The reception was indoor in the barn which kept the area cool for their party all night.
How they met
We met through mutual friends.
As cliche as it sounds, we knew pretty quickly that we were meant to be together. We really just meshed in a way that we can’t even explain. We moved in together after only being together for two months. It just always felt right. Now over three years later we are getting married!
Steven proposed at sunset while we were camping. He got our friends to set the scene and convince me to go on a walk near the river. They had found a beautiful spot and when we got there Steven got down on one knee. I blacked out and don’t remember a thing. I was so shocked!
Their Wedding Planning Experience
Teaching special education through a pandemic while finishing a master’s degree and planning a wedding was crazy, but I have been thankful for all my family and friends who have pitched in and helped with so much.
50 years from now, what do you want your wedding photos to say to you?
That we were just in love that day as we are now 50 years later.
